About Food & Medical Assistance

One of the three guiding pillars of our mission is to meet the needs of physical bodies in the communities we serve. This includes food nutrition and medicine in times of economic hardship.

Our nutrition program is outreach-based where each family receives a home visit by OBGM to those most in need. In addition to helping with physical needs, we pray and encourage each other in our relationship with Christ. Many we visit are the elderly, young or sick. At times mothers need assistance with baby formula/milk, or the elderly can not afford simple bus fare or products such as ibuprofen, blood pressure or diabetic medications.

A typical family food packet includes: 20 pounds of rice, 5 pounds of beans, 5 pounds of sugar, 2 liters of oil and 1 pound of coffee and lasts for 7-10 days.
